The Christian’s Exalted Position. -- Part two

The Christian’s Resurrection Ground  -  Bible Reading… Eph 1:3-14

There was only one way into Canaan and that was the Divine way made by the Ark of the Covenant. As the Ark descended into the depths of Jordan and rolled back its waters,

Christ descended into the deep waters of the wrath of God and opened the one way into everlasting life.

The Christian is now set up upon resurrection ground

We are reminded in Rom 6:4 - Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death, that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we  also should walk in newness of life.

When Joshua stood on the other side of Jordan at Gilgal, and surveyed the task ahead of him. The Angel of the Lord met with Him and reminded him that he was standing on holy ground

“We have been blessed with “all spiritual blessings in heavenly places”

Our Spiritual blessings  are not gained or achieved by a holy life or a life that is based on observances. The above verse  means that it is not based on our concept of Him , It is based and  defined as the

“Sphere of the Christian’s experience” -     It is being with Christ

in nature (2 Pet 1:4)

in life (Col 3:4) (1John 5:12)

in relationship (John 20:17) (Heb 2:11)

In service ((Mat 28:20)

That is the glorious nature of our redemption we are to carry on the work of redeeming mankind. We have chosen before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame (v4)

Jesus reminded the disciples that they would do greater works -  “Verily verily, I say unto you. He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)

We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings because our realm of the believers position and experience is as a result of our being united to Christ by the Baptism of the Spirit

“But the comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said onto you. (John 14:26) (1 Cor 12:13) (Rom 6:3-4)

We have been called and commissioned to the highest rank- that is the Christian occupies a totally unique position in the hierarchy of the universe.  In regeneration a Christian receives the nature of a child of God; in adoption he receives the position of a son of God. Every Christian obtains the place and right to be called a son the moment he believes (Gal 3:25-26) (Gal 4:6) (1John 3:1-2)
